We absolutely loved this place. The owner descriptions are 100% accurate. In our opinion the very best part of Penthouse 5 is the incredible balcony. Clear views of the Island of Lanai as well as the Lahaina harbor just down the beach. That patio is absolutely huge, the largest patio we have enjoyed while renting home/condos from VRBO.

We have rented numerous homes & condos over the years in Hawaii and Bodega Bay and always the main complaint is while relaxing watching the surf the furniture sits with eye level just at the railing level. This patio has 3 separate sets of patio furniture, our favorite was the pub table set. The pub table made watching the 4th of July fireworks show the best seat in all Lahaina. We were able to watch the surfers every morning with our coffee and each evening with dinner.

Another thing about Lahaina Shores is they are practically attached to a shopping center that has 3 top notch restaurants with private access to the center. Having private covered parking is another huge advantage to staying at Lahaina Shores, as finding a parking spot in Lahaina is difficult.

Penthouse 5 has a great kitchen to cook nearly anything you want, we suggest getting a couple crabs from Costco and enjoy eating them on the patio.....we did twice. Having the washer and dryer in the condo was another big bonus for us as everyone else staying at Lahaina Shores would have to take everything down to floor 6 and hope the facilities weren't being used. The Penthouse has boogie boards and beach chairs to use which we found the chairs to be highly valuable while at Big Beach in Makena.

This was our 4th trip to Maui and each time gets better and better. All in all we had an amazing time while staying at Lahaina Shores Penthouse 5 and we will be back!
