Christmas in Maui was wonderful! Our stay at your penthouse was enjoyable comfortable and just perfect. The view was impeccable and standing on the huge lanai staring out at the ocean and other islands was awesome! Everything we needed to feel at home was provided for us in this condo. We highly recommend this place for anybody wanting the perfect vacation!

We had the best vacation with the best view of the ocean! While the inside of the penthouse is very comfortable and well provisioned, we spent most of our time on the lanai. An easy 10 to 15 minute walk took us to a choice of many restaurants and places to shop. We loved our stay and will be back!

The Lanai was amazing. We sat out here daily. We enjoyed Maui, the sunsets, teh water, the people .... it was all amazing.

We did the Road to Hana twice, climbed the mountain, saw the waterfalls, swam in the pools. Loved to wake to the sound of the waves.

We absolutely loved this place. The owner descriptions are 100% accurate. In our opinion the very best part of Penthouse 5 is the incredible balcony. Clear views of the Island of Lanai as well as the Lahaina harbor just down the beach. That patio is absolutely huge, the largest patio we have enjoyed while renting home/condos from VRBO.

We have rented numerous homes & condos over the years in Hawaii and Bodega Bay and always the main complaint is while relaxing watching the surf the furniture sits with eye level just at the railing level. This patio has 3 separate sets of patio furniture, our favorite was the pub table set. The pub table made watching the 4th of July fireworks show the best seat in all Lahaina. We were able to watch the surfers every morning with our coffee and each evening with dinner.

Another thing about Lahaina Shores is they are practically attached to a shopping center that has 3 top notch restaurants with private access to the center. Having private covered parking is another huge advantage to staying at Lahaina Shores, as finding a parking spot in Lahaina is difficult.

Penthouse 5 has a great kitchen to cook nearly anything you want, we suggest getting a couple crabs from Costco and enjoy eating them on the patio.....we did twice. Having the washer and dryer in the condo was another big bonus for us as everyone else staying at Lahaina Shores would have to take everything down to floor 6 and hope the facilities weren't being used. The Penthouse has boogie boards and beach chairs to use which we found the chairs to be highly valuable while at Big Beach in Makena.

This was our 4th trip to Maui and each time gets better and better. All in all we had an amazing time while staying at Lahaina Shores Penthouse 5 and we will be back!

Amazing views! Great location! Lanai beyond compare! Spacious and gorgeous! Clean and modern, with all the amenities you could ever need. Super-comfy master bed! This was by far the best condo that we stayed in while on our multi-island trip!

The penthouse was just as described by the owner. The huge lanai stretches from the bedroom all the way to the living room and has an amazing view of the ocean. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The washer and dryer are convenient to have in the unit. The location is perfect. You can walk everywhere and don't need a car, unless you want to travel around the island. It was hassle-free checking in and out. Very peaceful and enjoyable visit.

Amazing doesn't even begin to describe your home! From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect. As far as location and comfort, your condo truly can't be topped! We have enjoyed the first 3 nights of our honeymoon so much! I'm not ready to leave! We will definitely be back to visit. I caught the Maui fever!!!

We arrived Easter Sunday 2016 for 6 nights. Check in was great, just like checking into a hotel. None of the hassles we have had with some other VRBO properties (getting keys from rental companies, property not clean, etc). The property was everything described on other reviews and by the owner.

An entire wall of glass facing the ocean on the 7th floor, with granite and stainless steel throughout. Five star amenities. We slept with the glass slider cracked open, falling asleep and waking up to the sound of waves. Each morning we would have coffee on the balcony, watching whales go by.

We like to rent properties right by a downtown area, so we can walk to shopping and restaurants if we want. There is a luau right next door. It is at the south edge of town, so it is quiet overlooking the beach and on the property (unlike much of Kaanapali), but the action of town is just a few steps away. If you like luxury levels amenities, in a smaller boutique type hotel, you will not be disappointed.

Wow! Thoroughly enjoyed your condo. Especially enjoyed all the decor. Felt like I was living in a model home. Although we didn't prepare as many meals 'in' as we usually do, we found the kitchen fully equipped. Everything we needed and more.

This is our first stay at Lahaina Shores, but we really like the location close to town (ie, no parking problem - walk to town). Enjoyed the Feast at Lele (too much food but excellent). Wonderful views, loved whale watching. Thank you for our wonderful stay!

Before booking our vacation, I read hundreds of reviews of different properties in Maui. We decided on Lahaina Shores Penthouse 5 based on its reviews and the information on the owner's website which included lots of photographs.

My husband and I just returned home after 5 days in Penthouse 5 and everything was PERFECT. The Lahaina Shores property is incredible. The lobby is open and spacious and they have an Expedia Concierge available to help with sightseeing.

When we opened the door to Penthouse 5, we were both amazed at the view of the water and the island of Lanai in the distance. We spent hours watching the boats and we were able to see whales by using the binoculars which were in the desk. The king size bed was extremely comfortable and the kitchen was equipped with everything we could possible imagine. The living room/dining room is beautifully decorated and comfortable for relaxing. There is also a washer and dryer in the hallway closet and a variety of beach items for guests to use.

If we come back to Maui we will definitely stay here again and we are already recommending it to our friends who are planning their vacations. We were able to walk to the Lahaina Harbor as well as to restaurants and shopping on Front Street in less than 5 minutes. This was a big plus because we didn't have to worry about parking. The drive from the airport is less than an hour and the highway is along the coast with beautiful views of the water and the mountains. Thank you for a vacation we will never forget.

Unparalleled views including whale watching in season right off the spacious lanai, clean and welcoming accommodations, fully equipped with all of the comforts of home, luxurious king size bed, updated and tasteful decor, tub and shower with plenty of towels and hot water, linens provided as well as a washer and dryer in the unit and a kitchen that lacks absolutely nothing! You will awaken to the birds singing you a glorious new morning and you will fall asleep to the sounds of the crashing waves every perfect evening. You will also receive outstanding customer service when making your reservations with extremely prompt responses. Do not hesitate in making this your only choice when visiting Maui!

Outstanding! That would be my one word visit to this condo specific to Lahaina Shores. The view from the large balcony was awesome. Every morning my husband and I watched the whales cavorting in the ocean. Every evening I spent reading in the comfortable chair/ottoman on the balcony. The condo is very clean and comfortable. Everything you need is provided. What we thought was a plus was the availability of pool chairs, private beach access, and short walk to Lahaina town. Staff was very polite and helpful. Great penthouse condo, we loved the beautiful ocean view from the large lanai. The condo is quite spacious and very clean. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you might need. It was great to have a clothes washer and dryer right in the unit also. Lahaina and the harbor were within walking distance. The town had great restaurants and entertainment. I would definitely recommend this unit.

What an amazing treat! The condo was absolutely perfect and the location was amazing. Great amenities, super clean, open, classy, with everything we could possibly need to feel right at home.

Hearing the ocean waves crashing every evening was dreamy and waking up to the beautiful ocean sunrise was just breathtaking. We ate breakfast every morning on the incredible patio looking at all the boats and surfers. So close to all the shops and restaurants and checking in and out was a breeze. Highly highly highly recommend this vacation rental for anyone, it made our vacation just perfect. Snorkeling outside of the hotel was great too! We just stayed in Penthouse 5 for a week. It is a wonderful place to stay. Everything in the penthouse is exactly as described if not better. The lanai is perfect for whale watching! Lahaina Shores is a great location; walking distance to town and a short driving distance to many other beaches and Maui attractions. Great vacation spot and great condo to relax in.

Feel free to check my review on TripAdvisor. Suffice it to say that once again we were spoiled (stayed in PH5 last year), and now we can't think of a better place to stay. Truly great value for what you get! And you do get the best!

The place was amazing. We watched every sunrise and sunset from that great patio. It is close to everything. We had everything we needed for our stay. We hit Betty's Beach Cafe for breakfast everyday. It was right next door. Lahaina was a short walk away. I would definitely recommend the place.

We are so thankful that we got to spend our honeymoon in such a fantastic place! PH5 is gorgeous and so comfortable, and it was great having so many details already thought of (coolers and beach towels already here, well stocked kitchen!) We will greatly miss the incredible view and nice breeze, and the constant sound of the ocean waves.

My wife and I had the utmost pleasure of staying for a week at the Lahaina Shores Penthouse 5 recently. Without any doubt or reservation, this was one of our most enjoyable stays of nearly any place we had been to.

The apartment is even nicer in person than the pictures online show, and the location cannot be beat. To be able to walk any where in town, or to have such easy access to safe parking, and to have such a wonderful home to come to every day is worth so much more than the actual price of admission. The view from the lanai really is a million dollar view.

By far, our first choice of places to stay on Maui!

A wonderful condo to stay in, everything as is stated and more. The beach is steps from the resort door, and offers great access to all beach acitivities. The staff at the resort were very cordial and helpful, the town is charming and has numerous shops and restraunts, all within walking distance. Exceptionally clean and maintained facility and grounds, a overall great experience.

One last note, you will never regret staying in this penthouse unit, the view is unmatched as the entire ocean side of the condo is all glass doors, especially enjoyed seeing all the varied boats anchored just off shore. The enormous, very private lanai, makes it very hard to leave the condo. Would definitely stay in penthouse 5 again, could not imagine finding a better place.

Beautiful and Comfortable

Fantastic ocean views, beautifully appointed. Great location in town, but residential feel. Large, comfortable lanai. Bed is extremely comfortable! Thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful penthouse and would happily stay here again. Easy access to great swimming beaches (the beach in front of unit is quite rocky, corally, very shallow.) A great stay!

We are gathering up our things this morning to head home.  This place could not have been any better!!  The location is fantastic. It is peaceful and very relaxing. I read two books on my Kindle, put together the Seascape Puzzle(most challenging!), and listened to the water lap upon the shore for hours on end.  I feel rejuvenated and most happy to have found this marvelous place.   The kitchen is wanting for nothing!!  I am VERY impressed!   The furnishings are great quality and the remodel job is really wonderful.  I loved everything about the PH5 and feel so fortunate I happened upon it on Craigslist.

We took a wonderful drive off the beaten path to Polipoli State Park. It was Spectacular!!   I love that we were alone and away from the hoards of people doing Haleakala and Hana.   We stopped in Paia and loved the Flatbread Company for our mid day meal.  I would highly recommend it.

Have nothing but great memories as we depart.  Thanks for sharing your most spectacular place.

This Lahaina Shores Penthouse had everything we wanted - a view with various chairs and tables for lounging on the lanai, two bathrooms with lots of space for toiletries, a kitchen fully appointed for warming up leftovers and making cool drinks, a desk for working, beautiful decorations and glassworks, and functioning appliances such as a washer and dryer. Its location was superb - with a comfortable and accessible beach for lounging, snorkeling, or just catching an early morning walk.

It was just a short walk to the luau, Banyan Tree, downtown shops, and our favorite submarine ride. We learned Lahaina has only four inches of rain a year so our week was not spoiled by interruptive rains. Every day was clear, and the flowers were always blooming. We hope to return soon.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful place! So many thoughtful & personal touches - it felt like home. A great location for running around the island and we always looked forward to returning to 'The Penthouse'.

We have stayed at Lahaina Shores many times, best unit we've stayed in. Had a great 4 weeks here. Nice quiet place close to town. Well appointed unit, very comfortable bed. Nice having a washer & dryer in unit. We hope to be back!

David – we loved the place. You are a lucky man to have such a fabulous home, in such a fantastic location.  The whale viewing was incredible.

This was a dive trip with a buddy.  I would love to bring my wife, and stay with you in the future. On one dive (off West Maui), I had a roughly 200lb turtle approach and swim around me.  He hovered in front of me, face to face (his head was as big as mine too) for a few minutes, literally. In the background, I could hear the sounds of the whales frolicking/singing, loudly - and close by.  I’ll never forget it. 

We had a wonderful time and PH5 was great! You can't beat the view on the full length Lanai! I struggled for days on where to stay and this was the best choice ever. Walking in to town and to the wharf is an excellent plus! Thank you thank you!

This unit is even better than expected after careful research! The unit is: Spotlessly Clean, Attractively Decorated, Quiet (as in Not A Sound), Ocean View is Unexcelled, Convenient to Lahaina town restaurants and shops, Comfortable Bed, Completely Equipped Kitchen, etc. The owner's website shows more details about the unit than any I have reviewed. Even the contents of the kitchen cabinets and drawers are shown! This is our choice for the BEST place to stay in all of Maui. We plan to stay in this unit again, and would recommend to friends and family.

Thank you for sharing this "little slice of paradise." It truly felt like a home away from home, with every "amenity" provided for and the setting so comfortable. We've stayed in other units her at LSR, and your condo is the "Best"! Sunrise and Sunsets on the lanai, snorkel, snuba, and scuba. Walks to downtown Lahaina along the beach, and great food and shopping and people. 'Ulalena, Cheeseburger in Paradise, SeaHouse - the list could go on & on.

Our ten days here were fun filled and very relaxing (several afternoon naps became necessary ;). Enjoyed the Slack Key Guitar concert at Napili Kai and Glider ride at Hana as well. As other visitors to your home have stated, "We'll be back to enjoy PH5"!

We found our paradise! This truly was a wonderful place to stay on Maui. It's in an excellent location and the penthouse is fabulous with every home comfort you would want. Lahaina is a really nice relaxing place with wonderful shops and restaurants. We'll definitely be back some day!

The property is just as described. The recent renovation was very nicely done. The Lahaina Shores property itself is older, but very well maintained. All in all, it makes for a very comfortable stay in a very beautiful location.

Truly Paradise

Let me begin, the web pix do NOT do this penthouse justice. It was immaculate and absolutely beautiful (David & Autumn, you have very good taste! i loved your attn to details that some condo owners remodeling might overlook, ie non-slamming drawers...i luv luv luv those) and had everything one might need...including flashlight for haleakala trek, and binoculars for whale watching. everyone we encountered, from resort employees to guests, were warm and open. the location is perfect; you could choose to relax either by pool, beachfront, on the lanai, or wander a few steps to Front Street and intermingle w/an aclectic mix of folks. we ran into a number of people from our hometown!

A couple recommendations: a snorkel trip to Lanai'i (don't remember name but slip 11, cap'n craig & kelly), lunch at 4 Seasons on Lanai'i (spendy but Very ONO), sushi at Sansei in Ka'apalua...but my fave activity was to sit on lanai in late afternoons w/a glass of wine and binoculars whale watching..one evening we watched a pod of 6-7 whales cross the way and then cross back. it was amazing, they were breaching and relatively close (i guess here would be my only suggestion to improve condo; provide more than 1 set of binoculars...we bickered over them LOL).

My 82 yr old dad is already planning our next trip back to maui and he reallly wants to stay in Penthouse 5 again. btw, he befriended all of Front Street, played his harmonica Open Mike Nite at Hard Rock Cafe and won that nite. WE DEFINITELY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE & HOPE TO STAY AGAIN! WE GIVE IT 10 STARS!! Aloha!

My husband & I stayed in Penthouse 5 March 12 - 20 /11. We were very pleased - especially the two bathrooms and me a bathtub!! The deck furniture was all teak and great to sit up on and watch the whales while eating breakfast. The bedroom is huge and it is nice that there are screens on the patio doors so you can leave the doors open at night and sleep with the waves crashing as a backdrop. Again thank you so much for such a wonderful place to stay. We will be back - hopefully next year.

This penthouse has been remodeled and it is lovely. I have always rented an oceanfront studio at Lahaina Shores but sharing the penthouse with two of my girlfriends made it affordable. The master bedroom was wonderful with a sliding glass door to the Lanai and private bathroom. We left the sliding door open all night and fell asleep to the sound of the ocean. The kitchen is brand new with granite counter tops and the sitting area is comfy and spacious with big screen TV. All in all it was very peaceful and relaxing and such a great place to come back to after our adventure filled days

We stayed the first week of December 2010, 3 women celebrating one of our birthdays. The penthouse was all it claimed to be. Great views, well equipped, tasteful new renovation and great location with walking distance to all activities in Lahaina. The fold out sofa worked well for one adult not sure how comfy it would be with two adults but great for kids. The owners were very pleasant to deal with and helpful to all me questions. Beautiful views from huge lanai.
